About the Artist
Kristen Breyer resides in San Francisco, California. She graduated from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in the spring of 2006 with a B.F.A. where she "majored" in printmaking, film, and drawing/painting. Her work stems from her love and commitment to animals and how they relate to humans in modern society.
She is currently employed by a non-profit animal rescue in the Bay Area where she educates people about the humane treatment of animals and acts as a volunteer coordinator for the younger volunteers. In the future she hopes to continue utilizing her abilities and knowledge of animals to contribute towards education and conservation efforts. She is also the guardian of Zev Valentine, a pit bull mix, who is a therapy dog and ambassador for his breed.
